Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of BenchPro's software: the Bench Pro Tech Station desktop app, the BenchPro Tester phone app, the BenchPro Scanner companion app, and the owner dashboard (together, the "Service"), provided by BenchPro ("we," "our," "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

Who this is for

The Service is business software for phone and computer repair shops. You must be authorized to act on behalf of the repair shop or business creating the account, and at least 18 years old.

Your account

• You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your login credentials secure.
• A store owner is responsible for the actions of technicians they invite to their store.
• You agree to notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.

Subscription, trial, and billing

• BenchPro is billed per store, monthly, with a 7-day free trial. A valid payment method is required to start the trial.
• Unless cancelled before the trial ends, your card is charged automatically and the subscription continues month to month until cancelled.
• You can cancel at any time from your owner dashboard; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. We don't offer partial-month refunds.
• Payment is processed by Stripe — BenchPro never receives or stores your full card number. Stripe's own terms also apply to the payment itself.
• We may change pricing with advance notice; continued use after a price change takes effect means you accept the new price.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to test, access, or handle a device you're not authorized to possess or service.
• Attempt to circumvent the Service's licensing, security, or authentication.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or resell the Service without our written permission.
• Use the Service in a way that violates applicable law.

Diagnostic results

BenchPro's diagnostic tests are a tool to help identify hardware issues, not a guarantee. Test results reflect the device's condition at the time of testing and depend on the device's own hardware/sensors reporting accurately. You're responsible for how you use and represent diagnostic results to your own customers.

Intellectual property

BenchPro and its software, design, and branding are owned by us. Your subscription gives you a limited, non-exclusive right to use the Service — it doesn't transfer ownership of any part of it to you.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is." We don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every diagnostic test will catch every possible hardware issue. To the extent allowed by law, we disclaim all other warranties, express or implied.

Limitation of liability

To the extent allowed by law, BenchPro isn't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service, including disputes with your own customers over a diagnostic result. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months before the claim arose.

Termination

You can stop using the Service and cancel your subscription at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms, engages in abuse, or doesn't pay for the Service.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Washington, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.

Changes to these Terms

If these Terms change, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the update.
